Neck craned over his shoulder, just far enough so that he could see Colin’s figure beside one of his favorite shelves, then back to his book with a demeanor steady and curious - but very calm. He memorized the page number on his lap and closed the book, running his fingers along the side of the spine as he set it down on the coffee table.
”Well yes.”
”I was told that if you care about someone, you eventually want to date them.”
A small, pathetic ’oh’ was all he could manage to get past his lips, he was flustered, in all honesty. Well. A bit more bewildered than anything. Damian didn’t so much as drop a hint that he felt about Colin in that way ‘til now. If he did, he must have done it in his own ’Damian way’. But now he was being pretty blunt about it.
Colin turned his face back toward the bookshelf, mindlessly hovering the tips of his fingers over the books. With a quiet breath, and a pink tint to his cheeks, the red-head replied, “You know what dating means, right? Because-I mean-I’m not calling you stupid or anything. I just. Um.”
"–Never mind. I’m gonna shut up now. Okay. But, uh, my answers…ah, yes.“ He had a hand placed over the top half of his face at this point. ”…Did you have something planned?“
